Artist statement

Award winning thirty year career as a commercial and corporate cinematographer. Inspired by a family of musicians and visual artists, I continue the tradition through upcycling “out of tune” musical instruments.

The subjects came later as I began seeing shapes and forms in the parts of instruments. The bends and curves of the instruments lent themselves easily to our natural world. Plants, birds and even people became the models for my work.
