EMMYLOU
Sitting outside in the hallway of radio station KDRO in Sedalia, Missouri. Emmylou asked Bob McCubbin if she could play his 48 Martin guitar. Of course Bob new she was a folksy hippie girl with a voice of an angel, so he politely obliged. Her voice with that guitar was a gift from God. She was so grateful to have played that box, that she lightly kissed Bob on the cheek and said, “I’ll never forget this moment.”
Uke of Windsor
Windsor Portugal is where it all began. Cabinet maker Manual Nunes made the first uke out of metal. While it looked pretty, it didn’t sound very good. He tried native woods, sailed to Hawaii and thus became the Uke we know today
